One of the most popular features of the Annual Seminar, the role play is both entertaining and enlightening.
- Copyright 101 (Harper ; McDonald )
Institutional copyright policies continue to command the attention of technology staff and other campus administrators. This session will start with the basics of copyright law and move on to cover a range of issues from ownership of copyrighted works to uses of works created by others. Throughout, the focus will be on exploring campus policy options in the context of the existing legal framework and we'll include extended time for discussion.
- Copyright Hot Topic: Google (Band; Harper)
This session will feature discussions of the Google Library Project and Fair Use Questions, Legislative Reform for Orphan Works, and Litigation on E-Reserves and Course Management Systems.
Friday, June 30

- What to Watch for Next (Moderators: Mitrano; Worona)
Facilitated by ICPL's co-directors and calling on the cumulative expertise of our speakers and audience, this session is a look over the horizon, speculating on the otherwise unmentioned hot topics we're likely to confront between this seminar and next year's.
