1. I’ve created an EDUCAUSE account but cannot access ECAR.

Your organization must have a paid ECAR subscription in order for you to access the ECAR publications. Although your institution may be an EDUCAUSE member, ECAR requires a separate subscription.

2. How do I set up my EDUCAUSE account?

You can click on "create one now" from the EDUCAUSE profile page. Once you've created your EDUCAUSE profile, you will be able to access ECAR publications.

Please keep in mind that your institution must be a paid ECAR subscriber to access ECAR publications.

3. My school is an ECAR subscriber. How do I access the publications?

As an ECAR subscriber, you can select the type of publication you want to access from the ECAR Research Publications page. You can then click on the title of the publication to bring up the abstract. Scroll to the bottom of the abstract page and click on the Adobe Acrobat or HTML icon. You will then be prompted to enter your EDUCAUSE username and password. If you do not have an EDUCAUSE username and password, please go to register for an EDUCAUSE username and password.

4. When I click on the lock icon it won't allow me to open the ECAR document.

To access an ECAR publication, your institution must be an ECAR subscriber. If you are a subscriber, simply click on the publication title to bring up the abstract. Scroll to the bottom of the abstract page and click on the Adobe Acrobat or HTML icon. You will then be prompted to enter your EDUCAUSE username and password. If you do not have an EDUCAUSE username and password, please go to register for an EDUCAUSE username and password.

5. I'm an EDUCAUSE member; why can't I access ECAR materials?
