EDUCAUSE Identity Management Services Program (IMSP)

Higher education is under heavy and increasing pressure to manage its computer and network systems securely, with enhanced protection for sensitive data. An essential element of security and privacy is identity management-the process for determining who is accessing what systems and which privileges they have.

An expanding number of vendors are offering products and services that provide various parts of the identity management solution, but we've heard from many campuses that the price of commercial offerings can be a significant impediment. To help solve that problem, EDUCAUSE has made arrangements with several vendors to offer special discounts to EDUCAUSE members who have subscribed to our Identity Management Services Program (IMSP). An IMSP subscription costs $2,000 per year, and once you've subscribed, your campus has access to IMSP pricing from all of the vendors in the program.

By using IMSP, we saved over $33,000 last year. We will look for more opportunities to utilize this program in the future.
