Wendy Robinson is senior assistant attorney general in the Oregon Department of Justice, where she is attorney-in-charge for the education section of the General Counsel Division. In this role, she represents the Oregon University System, the Oregon Department of Education, and the Oregon Department of Community Colleges and Workforce Development. Her tenure with the Oregon Department of Justice extends nearly 20 years, including representation of agencies governing the state lottery, construction contractors, economic development, and resource and technology development. Her work with the Oregon Attorney General's Office has been recognized by two Meritorious Service Awards, and she's a frequent speaker on legal issues in higher education, conducting formal legal-education sessions for university employees in Oregon and around the country. She holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Reed College and a JD degree from the Northwestern School of Law of Lewis & Clark College. SummaryYour host, Steve Worona, will be joined by Wendy Robinson, and the topic will be "Export Control Laws: Analysis for the IT Manager." Through the use of a hypothetical international research collaboration between a U.S. university and various foreign universities and governments, a means for analyzing the applicable export control laws will be set out and applied.
