This is a full-time position in Management Information Systems in the District Administrative Offices. The position requires (1) at least a Bachelor's degree and at least six years of prior-related work experience, or (2) at least a Master's degree and at least four years of prior-related work experience. Substitution of experience for education is permitted. The position requires at least a High School diploma or GED equivalent if substituting experience for education. Prefer applicants with: (1) strong experience with UniData database systems, (2) experience with Datatel Colleague programming and reporting software, database and case tools, (3) experience working with multi-valued and relational databases, (4) expertise in SQL programming such as SAS or MSSQL and (5) strong analytical, organizational and written/verbal communication skills. If selected for an interview, applicants must bring a copy of their diploma or transcript to the interview. This is a senior technical position within the Management Information Systems (MIS) department responsible for overall applications development, implementation and maintenance of the systems and programs that support State and Federal reporting. Responsible for researching, evaluating, and implementing changes to programming including the development and documentation of applications management processes. Provides technical and project leadership in support of State and Federal reporting requirements to include business process improvement projects. Key job responsibilities include: (1) researches, evaluates and implements changes to the programming that supports State and Federal reporting requirements, (2) analyzes code to find causes of error and revise programs, (3) consults with end users to prototype, refine, test and debug programs to meet State and Federal reporting requirements, (4) designs, develops and implements new or enhanced computer systems that support the computing needs of the college for State and Federal reporting, analysis, statistical modeling and quality control using statistical packages and programming tools, (5) develops, documents and maintains applications-related change management processes, (6) performs and documents quality control checks and (7) documents end-user documentation for all State reporting systems.
