Assistant Manager
Academic Technology

Responsibilities
• Lead operations at fast-paced, state-of-the-art, digital multimedia labs. [Visit www.newschool.edu/at for details of labs and services.]
• Hire, train & manage lab aides across facilities.
• Assist users with comprehensive services & technical support, with a focus on user satisfaction.
• Learn lab systems, software & hardware across diverse design, production, research, and productivity applications.
• Create & maintain records & documentation.
• Complete special projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
• Supervisory or management experience.
• Working knowledge of Windows & Mac systems, Web, graphics, color printing, video, audio, modeling, animation.
• Bachelor's degree or higher.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication & organizational skills.
• Service-minded leader, self-starter, quick learner.
• Flexible availability, including late evening and weekend hours.

Preferred Qualifications
• Strong knowledge of Windows & Mac systems and troubleshooting.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel and statistical applications SPSS and SAS.
• Strong knowledge of Web programming (html, css, javascript, Flash, asset management).
• Strong experience managing projects effectively from conception through completion, directing others and meeting timeline and goals.
