Loyola College in Maryland invites applications for the position of Assistant Vice President for Information Technology and Chief Information Officer (AVPIT/CIO). The AVPIT/CIO will lead the College's vision for academic excellence by being the chief strategist and visionary for IT planning and implementation, managing university-wide information technology resources and support for the College, and enhancing the College's teaching, learning, research, and administration activities. The AVPIT/CIO reports to the Vice President for Finance and Treasurer. This position provides direct or indirect supervision of approximately 55 professional, technical and classified staff members assigned to the following service areas: Application Systems Development, Instructional Services, Business Continuation, Computing Services and Communication Services. Qualifications for this position include a bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least eight years of progressively responsible experience as a Chief Information Officer or Chief Technology Officer (CIO or CTO), assistant CIO/CTO or as director or administrator of a complex Information Technology operation for an institution of higher education, or a similar organization. Significant experience in information technology, strategic planning and substantive knowledge or the impact of technology on teaching and learning, information management for administrative decision support and electronic business processes required.
