Description:

The information technology service unit on the campus of Missouri University of Science and Technology is looking for a service oriented, self-motivated  individual to facilitate campus IT projects.  The incumbent will have the chance to manage a wide range of projects from technology in the learning space to campus IT infrastructure.  They will also have the opportunity to build their skill set through informal and organized training opportunities, and the university employee educational assistance benefit. 

The purpose of this position is to plan, supervise, and manage multiple projects for the Information Technology service organization.  The incumbent is expected to be able to deliver, within constraints of scope, quality, time and cost, complete IT project solutions utilizing project and service management best practices.  It will be expected that the candidate will manage project budgets, timelines, deliverables and risks.  The candidate must have excellent communication skills and be able to foster teamwork across many different groups within IT as well as across the campus.  This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring project management  professional to work for a dynamic organization dedicated to providing both foundational and innovative solutions to a technologically focused university.

Minimum Requirements: 

  • ·         Undergraduate degree in a technology or engineering field, or equivalent experience.  
  • ·         Experience in at least one of the following technical fields:  applications or web development/maintenance, networking, systems architecture, or desktop support.
