BUSINESS & TECHNOLOGY APPLICATIONS ANALYST (POSITION 13976) (WEBFOCUS REPORT WRITER) EQUIVALENT SALARY GRADE: 78 POSITION BAND RANGE: $37,000-$87,000 COMPETENCY LEVEL: ADVANCED POSITION CURRENTLY BUDGETED AT: $70,200.00 DEADLINE: DECEMBER 16, 2005 DEPARTMENT: INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Develops WebFOCUS reports and performs application analysis, design, programming and support activities for complex integrated university-wide software systems in large scale Oracle relational database environment which supports critical administrative functions Serves as a backup Application Administrator for WebFOCUS environment Supports primary systems are SunGard SCT Banner product suite, E-print, WebFocus, E-Visions (Intellicheck & Forms Fusion), NolijebWeb and related systems Works with legacy SCT Plus systems and related Banner add on systems and with other members of IT-MIS and Information Technology areas to provide a highly coordinated computing environment MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with nine semester hours in programming and one year of experience in business application consulting or development. Experience in the field of work related to the position's role may be substituted on a year-for-year basis. DEPARTMENT PREFERENCES: Six years of progressive experience in systems analysis, design, and programming, including at least one year of reporting authoring experience in WebFOCUS or similar reporting tool Experience with Oracle or equivalent large scale database; client-server development tools; UNIX based applications development; programming experience with PL/SQL, C OR COBOL; SCT Banner or similar ERP System in one or more functional areas (Student, Alumni, Financial Aid, Accounts Receivable, Finance, Human Resources), experience with Web applications and/or Web publishing Excellent oral and written communication skills Self-motivated Oracle developer certification is required, but will consider without |
