The position (1) at least a Bachelor's degree and at least ten years of prior-related work experience, or (2) at least a Master's degree and at least seven years of prior-related work experience. There is no substitution of experience for education permitted. Prefer applicants with: (1) prior experience programming or managing a Datatel environment, (2) a minimum of five years experience managing a higher education data processing organization, (3) prior experience working directly working with end users of data processing services, (4) a minimum of seven years of prior project management experience, (5) prior experience managing a data center and (6) prior experience developing and implementing a disaster recovery or BIA plan. If selected for an interview, applicants must bring a copy of their diploma or transcript to the interview.

The position is responsible for the security, integrity, programming, disaster recovery planning and management of all server systems and central data processing for the college. The position is responsible for all computing platforms and services. The Director is responsible for the development and maintenance of a complex technological infrastructure within an academic environment. Successful integration of security, legislative and academic requirements requires an individual who is sensitive to the needs of all end users, including those unique and sometimes conflicting needs of academic programs and administrative requirements. The individual assuming this position need to be responsive to the needs of all groups within the institution, yet provide the necessary leadership to establish policies and practices that are within the limits established by legislative and procedural requirements. Excellent communication skills are a must.
