Brief Description: The Network Security/Project Director will be responsible for both the procedural and systems architecture design and implementation for securing Francis Marion University's network infrastructure, applications, and confidential information. Interacts with multiple departments on campus to analyze a variety of environments and communicate effectively with people of differing technical knowledge. Responsible for managing IT and IT-related projects using project management techniques to ensure projects are completed on time and budget. Works with stakeholders to ensure that projects meet specifications and solve challenges to business processes. Performs related duties. State Requirements: A bachelor's degree and experience in automated information or communication system design, installation, operation, repair, sales or marketing. Related experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis. FMU Preferred Requirements: BS degree in Computer Science or a related field, Masters Degree preferred. Experience: CCSP and 5+ year's hands-on experience in LAN/WAN Security/Intrusion Detection in a computer network environment are strongly preferred.
