Provides leadership for teaching and learning support services in a wide range of areas, including but not limited to: adult education, development education, student success / transfer and retention and professional development.
 
 
REQUIRED DEMONSTRATED COMPETENCIES:
·         Provides direction and leadership for KCTCS specific to area of General Education.
·         Provides direction and leadership for continual enhancements of teaching and learning support services programs.

·         Develops and promotes an innovative faculty development program in coordination with the Office of Organizational Development/HR
·         Provides support to academic deans and associated college personnel and develops final recommendations to Chancellor regarding academic affairs policies and procedures
·         Completes special projects as assigned i.e. (Adult Learned Focus Institution (ALFI), Content Literacy, Council on Postsecondary Education (CPE) /Kentucky Department of Education (KDE) workgroups
·         Performs research and drafts recommendations on best practices relative to academic affairs applicable to KCTCS
 
Minimum Requirements:
Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration or related field plus five years related work experience or equivalent. Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office required. Ability to develop new solutions and have the discretion to implement them, function as a manager of a department and supervise personnel, and set objectives within strategic planning goals  needed. Experience with planning, designing and implementing programs/projects/studies and setting goals for a major department a must. Excellent organizational/written/oral/interpersonal communication skills to include auditory and visual methods are essential.
