Exciting career opportunity to become part of a dynamic Human Resources (HR) team and the Longwood Experience. As a Human Resource Information Systems Analyst, the successful candidate in this position will actively manage and provide support for all human resources-related Information Systems, to include internal and external databases related to HR; serve as the HR Records Management Coordinator; serve as the primary contact for surveys completed by the HR department, and manage report requests from departments as well as outside agencies. While serving as HRIS Analyst on a cohesive HR team, the HRIS Analyst will have the opportunity to add value and make significant contributions within all functional areas of HR. Primary responsibilities include supporting the goals of the university and assisting management through:

- Human Resources Information Systems management to include: data input, edits, and audits; managing data standards; ensuring data integrity and data security; training; and troubleshooting;
- Banner Maintenance to include: HR-related data management, reporting, training and troubleshooting;
- Ensuring compliance with policy, procedure, applicable state and federal laws and regulations, with special attention given to HRIS systems and records management;
- Extract, verify, and produce reports to meet the federal, regional, and state requirements and ad hoc requests;
- Web maintenance and design for the Human Resources website;
- Providing professional assistance in all human resources functional areas; and
- Special projects.

The successful candidate should have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in HR, business, computer science or closely related discipline with several years experience working with databases and applying technology skills and knowledge; demonstrated quantitative/analytical skills and writing reports; proficiency in web development software; excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks and set priorities; and demonstrated proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, etc). Preferred: Thorough understanding of relational database concepts; demonstrated expertise in database applications; experience in report writing and query generation preferably with MS Access and Crystal Reports or other report writing applications; general knowledge of human resources principles and practices; experience with a principal Human Resources application; knowledge of core HR functions, i.e. Benefits, Compensation, AA/EEO, Recruitment a plus; knowledge of federal and state laws; knowledge of higher education environment and systems; SunGard Banner, and PMIS (Commonwealth of Virginia database) a plus.

Pay Band 5, salary up to $60,000; salary commensurate with education and experience. Commonwealth of Virginia benefits accompany this position. Successful criminal background check is required.
