This position functions as the leader of a diverse staff that are responsible for providing IT support to university students, staff, faculty, affiliates, and perspective students and their parents regarding access to and use of technology. This position reports to the Executive Director of the Office of Information Technology (OIT) Support organization. Specifically, job responsibilities encompass management of the OIT Help Desk, which serves as a centralized source of information and service for the computer and network resources managed by OIT; management of the Student Computer Support Center which offers Lan and Desktop support to students; management of the campus operators; oversight of the OIT Case Management System, and management of the Incident Management process. This position is also responsible for evaluating the performance of his/her staff and making recommendations related to staff compensation and professional development. Requirements: This position requires at least five years experience of directly related experience and a Bachelor’s degree. This position requires excellent leadership, organizational and planning, analytical and problem resolution, customer service, and communication skills. Supervisory experience is required. Knowledge of Help Desk best practices is required. Experience with a ticketing management system, such as Remedy, is highly desirable. Certification and/or familiarity with ITIL standards are preferred.
