PIMA COMMUNITY COLLEGE invites applications for the position of: IT Principal Analyst - ERP Support & Programs An Equal Opportunity Employer SALARY: Depends on Qualifications OPENING DATE: 06/22/09 CLOSING DATE: 07/17/09 11:59 PM POSITION SUMMARY: PIMA COMMUNITY COLLEGE ENVIRONMENT: The College has an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, currently using the Sungard/Banner suite of applications: Finance, Financial Aid, Human Resources, Student, Accounts Receivable, General, and related platform technology including Luminis; Degreeworks; Workflow; and imaging. This position will provide: • Research, technical and implementation assistance • Functional support to module areas and information technology operations • Provide hands-on technical, functional and communications support to the campus user community • Serve as project manager for functional and technical implementation • Provide project oriented advanced functional and technical training DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This position will work closely with the ERP, currently Sungard Banner, and other platform functionalities to: • Serve as technical/functional liaison • Monitor and consult on software release planning • Coordinate, upgrade planning and implement enhancements • Provide module lead responsibility for general components • Research and evaluate all systems for possible application to business needs • Develop and manage an information clearinghouse and documentation • Evaluate and coordinate Sungard Banner ERP integration with predictive/decision support tool activities • Develop and maintain a communication protocol • Assess business practices relating to the ERP and platform technologies • Investigate and/or implement new process and/or program functionality • Provide technical training on areas of responsibility to include advanced, unique or unutilized functionality of the systems • Participate in the development and administration of the department’s budget, including the forecasting of funds needed for training, staffing, equipment, materials, and supplies • Represent the department as directed with vendors, consultants and the client relative to technical software issues • Technical research in support of Information Technology and Development Services • Maintain currency in field • Prepare and review written and oral reports • Provide functional assistance to end users and advocate for end-user/client issues JOB REQUIREMENTS: Experience, Education and Licensing: Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a closely related field plus three years technical experience as a lead or supervisor. Candidates who possess similar minimum objective qualifications should describe in detail the work experience and education which you deem establishes the equivalency. Sungard/Banner experience preferred. Salary From: $57,388 DOE Physical Requirements: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Incumbents may be subjected to moving mechanical parts and electrical currents.
