Instructional Technologist

 

            The Information Technology Services Department at The University of Scranton is seeking applications for the position of Instructional Technologist.  The primary duties include addressing the unique needs of users of instructional technologies within the University community through the selection, implementation, and support of technologies to enhance the overall educational environment; providing direct support for problems occurring in classrooms and meeting rooms during instruction and/or meetings; provide support to instructional activities and related events in all campus facilities; coordinate the setup and use of the University’s video conferencing equipment; maintain and repair various instructional technology equipment; work closely with the University community in support of Internet 2 and Web 2.0 technologies.  All Information Resources staff are expected to perform their duties in a dynamic team environment whose primary focus is on customer needs. 

          A bachelor’s degree in Instructional Technology or a related discipline is required along with two years of experience in a variety of instructional technologies, prior experience with video conferencing, and a strong customer-service orientation.  Must be able to work evening and weekend hours as required.
