JAVA Programmer VI Reference # 025826 UC Davis Health System, Network Services, located in Sacramento, CA is seeking a JAVA Programmer to serve as an advanced-level developer in all phases of analysis, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance of identity management solutions and projects. This includes the integration, deployment, and operational support of the Identity Management program. This position is expected to model the key values of the organization, including: demonstration of integrity in the conduct of daily work, accountability for the safe-keeping of resources in the employee's care and custody, reliability/teamwork, attention to maintaining and expanding expertise in the functions of the position and modeling commitment to customer service in interactions with clients, co-workers and others. Requires: Experience with structured application development methodology in deploying technical solutions; utilizing other tools for design (Unified Modeling Language), application software version control and tracking (Subversion), and code migration. Advanced skills with developing applications using the Java 2 Enterprise Edition Architecture (J2EE). Experience with application servers such as Tomcat, Experience with open source frameworks and tools such as Eclipse, Spring, Hibernate, HTML, JavaScript, JSTL and JSF. Advanced experience with standard programming techniques including analysis, requirements gathering, design, data collection and preparation, coding, and testing. Advanced skills with Oracle RDBMS applications development, including SQL, PL*SQL, triggers, and stored procedures. Demonstrated experience with application development methodology including working with client/server and web development tools. Experience with UNIX (Sun Solaris), RedHat Linux, and Windows 2003 server operating systems. Advanced knowledge of and experience with client/server technologies, web technologies, distributed computing concepts, application development methodologies, and networking concepts. Excellent communication (oral, written, presentation, documentation) and interpersonal skills to use tact and diplomacy for interactions with clients and vendors.
