Description:

Carthage College is seeking an Outreach Services Coordinator to promote library and information services and resources, serve as a liaison with the community, and assess the information and technology needs of departments, faculty, staff, and students.  Some specific responsibilities will include:  coordination of Family Fun nights, participation in the liaison program, use of instructional technology tools to enhance learning and communication, and development of web-based and other documentation.

 Qualifications of the successful candidate will include: an MLS degree from an ALA-accredited program, a diverse academic background, and skills in using technology tools (including wikis, blogs, and other Web 2.0 tools).  Additionally, the successful candidate will possess excellent written and verbal communications skills, group presentation and teaching skills, a strong service orientation, and a keen interest in promoting the use of library and other information resources.  Experience in a blended library/IT environment is preferred.
