Description:
St. Bonaventure University is conducting a national search for a Programmer /Analyst who will provide application and programming support for Datatel Colleague, the University's enterprise information system. Reporting to the Executive Director of Information Technology, the Programmer/Analyst will work closely with the offices of Undergraduate and Graduate Admissions, Financial Aid, Institutional Research, and Registration.

Duties include:
* Implementation of new web-based enterprise applications.
* Implementation of new system modules.
* Development of new processes/work flows for existing modules.
* Analyzes user requests for systems support and develops alternative systems and approaches to allow users to more effectively utilize Datatel administrative software.
* Programming and analytical support.
* Development of system interfaces.
* Generation of reports as requested.
* Training of staff in end-user applications as necessary.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field; four years experience providing analytical and programming support for Datatel Colleague. Experience with admissions, financial aid, and/or registration preferred. Other qualifications include:

* Experience with both programming and applications support.
* Knowledge of relational databases and associated tools.
* Ability to evaluate data, review alternatives, and make decisions and recommendations.
* Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
* Knowledge of the principles, practices, developments and techniques in supporting large integrated database systems.
* Knowledge of the practice and principles of good leadership.
* Experience developing applications and interfaces that enrich the functionality of administrative systems.
