SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS: Requires an associate's degree in programming/systems, computer science or mathematics, specialized training, certification, or equivalent work experience; 4-6 years experience working with various database management systems in database design, testing, implementation, maintenance, and administration required; at least 5 years experience as a production or development Oracle Database Administrator; working knowledge of backup and recovery procedures, basic performance and application tuning, database creation, space management and other database maintenance procedures including standards and documentation; proven experience with the installation and maintenance of Oracle Databases and PeopleSoft application architecture; experience writing scripts and triggers with SQL and PL/SQL; proven knowledge of stored procedures; knowledge of Unix Shell scripting; knowledge of BEA Tuxedo and WebLogic Applications; knowledge of Oracle 10g; experience working with Oracle RDBMS physical architecture required; familiar with Oracle running on IBM AIX and Windows Operating Systems; superior research and analysis skills with the ability to define critical issues, functional priorities and competitive factors; excellent financial, analytical and problem solving skills; strong written and oral communication skills; proven ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment; ability to prioritize, take initiative, self learn and work well under pressure. |
