The University at Albany is seeking candidates for the following vacancy within Information Technology Services. A versatile systems administrator is needed to join a team that supports a wide
array of enterprise services across several operating systems. Services supported
by the team include LDAP, DNS, DHCP, MS Exchange, Cyrus IMAP, file and
printing, MS SQL and Oracle database servers, Blackboard, Shibboleth
middleware, PeopleSoft, TSM backups, Apache and IIS web servers, SAN, and
several departmental applications. The selected applicant will work in close
collaboration with other systems administrators of various skill levels, as well as
other IT staff. The successful systems administrator will be broadly skilled and
comfortable recommending, implementing and supporting multiple operating
