Description:

This position is responsible for providing network and telecommunications infrastructure support for instructional, research and outreach activities related to two major wide-area networks (WANs):  the University of Wisconsin - Madison (UW-Madison) off-campus network and WiscNet, a statewide research and education network serving Wisconsin K-20 education institutions, governments and hospitals.  The person in this role also provides advanced support for campus researchers requiring connectivity to national/international networks such as Internet2 and ESNet, and represents UW-Madison at select regional and/or national events.

Degree and area of specialization:  Minimum of Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems or related field.
