ACE currently has an opening for a Web Manager. The Web Manager will be responsible for managing the ACE website along with its associated staff and initiatives. The role requires the ability to work across multiple groups within the organization, including senior management and IT department, to successfully aggregate and prioritize organizational requirements, and develop and manage relevant web processes/projects including content, architecture, design, testing, and server release in accordance with marketing strategy. In this role, you will need to be able to effectively translate business needs and goals into effective web solutions, understand/communicate/adhere/implement procedures and guidelines, and effectively communicate and deliver upon target dates and expectations. In addition to supervising two content webmasters, and working closely with the technical webmaster, this position will require working closely with/supporting Council departments, and proactively soliciting and gathering feedback to successfully support the web content/product to meet their needs. Ideal candidate is a hands-on, detail-oriented manager willing to roll up their sleeves and maintain tight schedules on multiple projects simultaneously. Must be able to enforce/communicate standards and requirements, be a customer-focused thinker, work with content management systems, and understand web strategies, visual design system, information architecture, and best practices. To perform the job successfully, an individual should have the following competencies: Excellent interpersonal skills; strong program management, supervisory, and cross functional leadership; ability to work across organization boundaries on focused web projects and to work against tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment; Ability to communicate and set appropriate expectations; ability to manage and lead a team of web professionals and consultants; ability to think strategically, thoroughly analyze complex situations, identify key issues, find solutions, and successfully communicate relevant results; experience in ongoing site management; excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work effectively in a team environment; expert knowledge of web publishing; ability to develop and follow posted requirements, standards, and guidelines; ability to think conceptually/navigate through many large, complex sites and directory systems, and determine site navigation/architecture based on feedback, goals and organizational needs; detail-oriented, flexible person who can manage several projects concurrently and be willing to bend to meet the greater goals. Requirements: BA or BS required. MA or MS preferred. Experience in one or more of the following areas: web marketing, web management, or web development. This experience must include at least two years hands on web experience, including publishing, best practices, and project management. Minimum 3-5 years supervisory/management experience. Experience managing the work of outside consultants/vendors. Familiarity with HTML, Dreamweaver, and Adobe required. Familiarity with ColdFusion a plus. Strong computer skills (Mac, PC). Experience with higher education, or association preferred.
