POSITION:Web/Portal Systems DBA, Regular Full-time
PAY RATE:Salary level dependent upon experience
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the direction of the Application Development Support Manager, is responsible for administration and customization of Web/Portal applications. Designs, implements and tests scalable and secure LDAP directory infrastructures and web services. Provides technical assistance to developers in the development of web pages and channels. Applies upgrades to SCT portal and configuration management system (CMS) products. Establishes procedures for upgrades and works with web developers in troubleshooting their projects.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and three (3) years experience administrating large, complex web sites; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills and Knowledge: Knowledge of: portal, UNIX, Oracle and Web development, including a good understanding of large web site development. Ability to: create and modify SQL statements; work effectively with diverse customers both orally and in writing; exercise independent judgment; respond quickly to situations; completing assignments under tight deadlines. Skilled in: project management and organization; documenting procedures and software modifications. Strong interpersonal communication abilities are required. Must work well in a team environment, be able to work with little or no supervision, and posses a concern for accuracy, quality, and attention to detail.
PREFERENCES: Experience with Campus Pipeline (SCT portal or U-portal) or similar java based portal products. Experience with configuration management system products.
