Question 1.3 Details

Will you use technology to collaborate with other students in both your introductory and advanced courses?

Collaborative learning, in which students work together in teams on course projects of varying sizes and durations, can be a valuable way to develop knowledge and skills in particular courses and professions. This can involve group problem–solving, planning, modeling, designing, or performing. Technologies that can support project teams include specialized equipment; group Web pages; electronic portfolios; and software such as presentation tools, computer–assisted design (CAD), gaming and simulation, Web–based conferencing, and virtual communities of practice space.

There are two aspects of collaboration that you should ask about: How much opportunity (in courses and in majors/programs) is there to collaborate on teams? What technologies are used?
