Abstract:Implementing new administrative computing systems using client/server architecture is the challenge facing many institutions. Maricopa Community College District is learning the importance of collaboration between divisions, departments, functional areas, and vendors as well as the importance of maintaining the vision in a changing environment. This paper shares processes and pitfalls and describes the issues leading up to the creation of the Apollo project; the relationship and collaboration developed between vendors, users, campuses, and divisions; and lessons learned.
