ISAC - 4 Resources

Overview

The creation of the Information Sharing and Analysis Centers (ISAC) is the culmination twenty-years of lessons learned from Internet viruses, worms, trojans, insider and outsider "e-thefts", etc. The establishment of a federally supported national response in early 1998 with Presidential Decision Directive - 63 (PDD-63) reflects the fact of learning and a desire to spread the knowledge in beneficial ways. President Bush extended and amplified PDD-63 in a later Executive Order 13231, which replaced the earlier E.O. 13110.
