NSF Advanced Networking Infrastructure and Research - 7 ResourcesThe Division of Advanced Networking Infrastructure and Research, ANIR, has two primary lines of effort, advanced networking research and advanced networking infrastructure. The goal of the research line of activity is to enable fundamental research in networking to build the scientific basis for future developments in networking capabilities, and to maintain the nation's leadership capability in this ever more important tool for society. The infrastructure line of activity has the overarching goal of stimulating and contributing to and making available to the research and education community the very latest in high performance networking capability, in both the national and international arenas. Networking is a key area in the Foundation-wide Information Technology Research Initiative, now entering its second year.
