Abstract:

The Engage award program topic "Technology-Enhanced Collaborative Group Work" was selected from a list of the top five teaching challenges identified at UW-Madison. This grant opportunity provided (1) funding to faculty and instructional staff awardees; (2) staff support on teaching, technology, and evaluation; and (3) a community of practice for awardees, which included opportunities to participate in the campus conversation around advancing pedagogy. This session utilizes a case study to present the program architecture and explores how promoting collaboration can have a transformative impact on the teaching and learning process.
