Computer Security Awareness Videos - 2009 Contest Winners

The EDUCAUSE/Internet2 Computer and Network Security Task Force, the National Cyber Security Alliance, ResearchChannel, and CyberWATCH have announced the winners of the 2009 Computer Security Awareness Poster and Video Contest, which was held as part of a national campaign to raise awareness of and increase computer security at colleges and universities. These new posters and videos are available at http://www.researchchannel.org/securityvideo2009/ and can be used in campus security awareness campaigns during student orientation, National Cyber Security Awareness Month, and throughout the year.

The contest included 87 poster and video submissions from 31 different schools. Winning videos were selected for creativity, content, technical quality, and overall effectiveness of delivery. Cash prizes were awarded to winners in each category. The gold winners received $1,000, the silver winners received $800, and the bronze winners received $400 in cash prizes. Nine honorable mentions were also selected.
