Abstract:In several new initiatives, Internet2 is building on raw network layer connectivity to encourage large-scale experimentation with new peer-to-peer, real-time communications applications. These new applications leverage application-neutral and media-neutral middleware and integrate voice, video, instant messaging, and enterprise-enabled rich presence.
