Democracy Lab: Online Student Collaboration Through Dialogue and Deliberation

Democracy Lab is an online course that brings together university students in collaborative dialogue and deliberation about current issues. Democracy Lab is a ten-week module that is meant to be integrated into an existing course as an innovative teaching strategy. By participating in Democracy Lab, students gain a functional knowledge of dialogue skills, have the opportunity to practice those skills with the guidance of a trained facilitator, connect with their peers across the country and within different educational studies, and become teachers themselves as they share personal experiences and learn from one another.
