Abstract:

This ECAR research bulletin focuses on a methodology for exploring diversity and building community among information technology and other university employees. It is based on the program developed for Princeton University's OIT staff. The methodology, which can be adapted for many uses throughout higher education, uses storytelling and other creative approaches to engage co-workers in dialogue about diversity in order to promote community, colleagueship, and understanding in the workplace.
