(FDIC) approved final rules implementing the affiliate marketing restrictions and identity theft prevention requirements from the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act of 2003 (FACTA). The Federal Trade Commission issued similar rules on October 23, 2007, and the other federal banking agencies and the Securities and Exchange Commission are expected to follow suit in the near future.
