Abstract:Recent state and federal legislation has greatly impacted IT security in higher education. This legislation is often targeted for other industries, such as HIPAA for health insurance and Gramm-Leach-Bliley for financial institutions, but higher education is affected by these regulations and must be compliant. This session will explain the legislation and its impact on higher education and present information on how institutions are responding.
