Abstract:Virginia Commonwealth University has adopted Linux in critical areas of Academic Technology. This presentation will describe why VCU invested early in Linux, how VCU minimized its risk, the current state of Linux installations at VCU, and the prospects for Linux becoming a strategically important technology for the university.
