Abstract:

The USC Libraries spearheaded a campus wide Academic Integrity initiative aimed at reducing the number of academic integrity cases referred to Student Judicial Affairs by educating students to comply with academic integrity standards as part of the library's information literacy program. This presentation will describe the creation of a joint academic integrity-information literacy multimedia tutorial and present data about its effectiveness in combating the problem of plagiarism. An IT librarian (and former documentary filmmaker) will present an innovative solution for embedding high-quality/resolution video into the Adobe Breeze product for a richer multimedia tutorial.
