Abstract:Two institutions have developed contrasting and complementary ways of managing manual approval and paperwork processes. WWU's very portable and expandable "E-sign" application replaces paper forms with Web Forms allowing easy data entry and routing via e-mail using simple HTML form development tools. The UCI "PayQuest" system uses open-source products to process payment requests efficiently and with a high level of automation.

Winner: 2004 EDUCAUSE Award for Excellence in Administrative Information Systems.
