Abstract:The NLII 2005 Spring Focus Session explored emerging learning practices and technologies, as well as the increasingly diverse faculty and student roles they involve. Session presentations and activities modeled the use of learner-centered principles as the basis for identifying promising learning practices and technologies. Exemplary processes for adopting and assessing emerging practices and technologies at the institutional level were reviewed. Session activities involved a number of resources that institutions can use to initiate the review and adoption of emerging practices and technologies on their campuses.
