Abstract:The session will address the role service-oriented architecture (SOA) plays in higher education and the reality and myths of next-generation Web services. It will include a brief description of SOA and cover topics such as the value of the architecture, prerequisites, staff training, and challenges. Real-life examples of how SOA is used at UCSD will be demonstrated and discussed.
