Abstract:At the University of Toronto, a study found many ways in which information technology could be used to address the needs of persons with a disability. The challenge was to deploy the resources and facilities of the computing and communications division to the benefit of the disabled population being served by the University's office for persons with special needs. This article describes the opportunities identified and the collaborative action plan developed to address them, as well as the conclusions drawn from the planning project.
