Abstract:IT leadership in higher education can be confusing. This session will share information about management techniques and political diplomacy. We will cover developing consensus in IT strategic planning; injecting a customer-service organizational atmosphere; excelling (or surviving) as a servant leader in a typical institutional IT environment; and developing the IT culture by releasing personal control and structure. The presentation will be targeted for those aspiring to higher-level IT management positions.
