Abstract:

The Security at Line Speed Workshop was held August 11-13, 2003, in Chicago, IL. The workshop was a working meeting attended by a limited number of invited participants. The goal of the workshop was to disseminate information on problems, discuss potential solutions, and identify areas requiring additional research. This document summarizes the workshop's discussions that covered both technical and non-technical issues. Current practices and known problems are identified and explained through case studies. Known barriers are addressed through suggestions and a proposed research agenda.
