Abstract:This paper describes how the WWW is being used to provide management information to decision-makers of academic units at the University of Kansas. A system called DEMIS, Departmental Executive Management Informaion System, was developed to give its users historical trend data tables both as HTML pages and spreadsheets that could be maintained and updated via SAS programming. Stages of development as well as security issues for this type of system are discussed.
