Abstract:

The Green Information Technology Strategic Plan is important to the continued preservation of natural resources and reduction of harmful toxins released into the environment. It is the intention at USDA to be the government-wide forerunner in setting the standard for Green IT practices. This plan outlines success measures, metrics, and examples of sustainable techniques and technologies that any public or private organization can utilize in establishing its own environmental improvement program.
