The Learning Cafe (Real@Caledonian)

Walk around any campus and you will see students working on group tasks with laptops and coffee in the refectory. Such facilities are designed more for the purpose of meeting food service requirements and are often not equipped to support Internet access. These informal work space arrangements generally do not support a wide range of learning possibilities or the work styles of today's students, nor do they usually encourage or support community engagement.
