StateNetsStateNets Mission StatementState Research and Education Networks (StateNets) provide increasingly vital infrastructure services that extend beyond networking into enterprise applications, middleware, broadband policy and statewide procurement in support of education, research and development, health care, state and local government, and university outreach and public service. The mission of StateNets is to provide a national forum for collaboration among individual state networks; to develop and support a community of practice; to build consensus with colleagues across the country and to provide a leadership role in articulating a unified vision in the research and education networking community. StateNets members collectively face future challenges including the sharing of strategies and approaches for addressing the policy, business and technical issues posed by the research and education community. StateNets strives to develop our next generation of networking leaders, preparing them for our common challenges. StateNets is now on Facebook! All state education network professionals are invited to exchange ideas and network with their colleagues through this closed group. To join the StateNets Facebook Group and/or StateNets Community listserv, send an e-mail to Garret Sern. Contacts
