The StateNets Technical Support and Operations (TSO) Focus Group will foster peer group development across state education networks at the technical operations and services level. This will be achieved by providing a forum for technical operations and services personnel to establish contacts and exchange information on related issues with their peers at other StateNets. In particular, the TSO aims to serve the following functions:
- Review of best practices across peer networks relating to technical services ranging from services offered to new service development and cost modeling.
- Exchange information relating to network operations and support including network performance monitoring and management to support member services and activities.
- Act as a resource to other StateNets focus groups on technology services and operations issues.
- Investigate regional collaborative opportunities and initiatives across StateNets technical service research and development and operational process improvement.
