Conference Proceedings
Cosponsored by the American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU), EDUCAUSE, and the University of Central Florida (UCF), the Students, Technology and Learning: Strategies for Success Conference (formerly the Key to Competitiveness) provides AASCU institutions with an opportunity to learn more about the next generation of studentsa group with much greater expectations for the use of technology in higher education than previous generations. The event allows teams of presidents and senior institutional leaders to explore new ways of using technology to meet student expectations and more effectively serve the next generation learner.
ELI's 7 Things You Should Know About... Briefs and Net Savvy White Paper Series
Conference participants and others interested in next-generation learners should also review the following resources from the EDUCAUSE Learning Initiative (ELI):
ELI's 7 Things You Should Know About... series provides concise information on emerging learning technologies and related practices. Each brief focuses on a single technology and describes what it is, how it works, where it is going, and why it matters to teaching and learning.
ELI's Net Savvy White Paper Series is available from the publications section of the ELI Resources Web page. It offers three papers that look at different aspects of what it means for today's learners to be net savvy, the implications if they're not, and what institutions should consider doing to help their students develop net savvy.
