Under IMSP, the Managed PKI Co-Branded and Private Label Certificate Services provides a campus certification authority managed by VeriSign but signed by a special EDUCAUSE certification authority which is in turn signed by the VeriSign root. This arrangement allows the campus to issue PKI certificates that will be recognized by all common software and which are also cross-certified with HEBCA, the Higher Education Bridge Certification Authority.
